Once upon a time, there was a jealous bird living in the Land of Colouful Birds. In this country where every single bird had a unique colour, the jealous bird did not like his own colour at all. Other birds would love his colour, but the jealous bird would like to be nothing but the most colorful one, and wouldn’t be happy.
One day, the jealous bird got a nice idea in his mind. He was going to collect the colours of the rainbow and was going to unite them. He was going to paint himself with the mixture of those colours, and be the most colourful bird to exist.
First things first, he learnt that the period of “La" was tomorrow. La was the time The Big Door opened, for one time in a year. There were waterfalls, rainbows, and unimaginably beautiful things behind The Big Door. On the summit of Mountain Qaf, he was eagerly waiting for The Big Door’s opening to be made by the Phoenix.
The jealous bird, when tomorrow arrived, and he made it inside of The Big Door, chose the giant rainbow. He stuffed all the colours inside a big bucket with a cap. While happily going towards his home, he thought about which pen to use while giving out signatures to his fans.
The jealous bird put on a cotton cloth on his eyes before pouring down the colours inside the bucket to a pool. He wouldn't like paint getting into his sensitive eyes. After the last shake for the colours, he dived headfirst in the pool he poured them in. “I wish I brang shampoo. I would have a shower of colours, yet the colours’ smell ,which I will not be able to get them off of me no matter what I do, -though, he didn't want to - could at least be deodirised. Anyways…” he thought.
He walked to the mirror. Took off the cotton cloth. The cloth that was green before the paint smeared on it, was now pure white. He got disappointed when he looked in the mirror. He wanted to squat on his knees and sob with emotional music in the background. Becasue the jealous bird was pure white from now on!
The jealous bird who did not know that the mixture of the colours was white, remained white till eternity. Know the significance of what you have, and do not get sad like the jealous bird.
